HANOI - SAPA LUXURY TRAIN  

There are both daytime and overnight sleeper trains between Hanoi & Lao Cai. But overnight trains are preferred because it saves time and two nights of accommodations.

 

The overnight trains between Hanoi & Lao Cai have several privately-run deluxe sleeping-cars attached for tourists, as well as the normal sleepers & seats.  Below is one of these popular deluxe trains

 

VICTORIA EXPRESS TRAIN

The train departs six times a week, linking Hanoi to Lao Cai. The Victoria Express Train is a 8.5 hour trip from Hanoi to Lao Cai, accommodating up to 52 passengers with comfortable seating, a dining carriage (see Victoria Express Train Schedule) and two luxurious sleeping carriages. 

Each sleeping carriage has 6 superior cabins (4 berths) and 1 deluxe cabins (2 berths), all are air-conditioned, wood panelled, with individual reading lights, baggage storage, toilets and oversized windows.

Due to the increasing popularity of this train, the hotel only wirovide tickets for in-house guests

LIVITRANS EXPRESS TRAIN

The best train in between Sapa and Hanoi after Victoria Express Train. It consists of 35 cabins with 29 one of 4 berths, 6 VIP one of 2 berths, 1 restaurant. It departures daily in Hanoi and Sapa.

These deluxe tourist cars run attached to train SP1,3/SP2,4.  They're all significantly better than the regular Vietnamese Railways sleepers . Their services are not much diferent from each others. They provide soft 4 and 2 berths with individual reading light, baggage storage, spacious trunk for suite case and handluggage. They also provide water and cold tower. They depart daily
