WHY TRAIN VIETNAM ?
Since the first line of Vietnam Railways was constructed in 1881 with the length of 71 km linking Saigon and My Tho, Vietnam railways network now has made a rapid leap compared with the starting period in term of its scale and operation capacity. Vietnam Railway network consists of 7 main lines linking and passing through over 35 provinces and cities with difficult terrains. Most of the big and main tourism cities have been linked and reached by the railways. So it’s easy for you to travel to get to there.
There are over 100 stations on the line, the popular and fastest trains service around 20 stations, into which most major coastal stops are covered. The stations include Hanoi, Vinh, Dong Hoi, Dong Ha, Hue, Danang (for Hoi An), Quang Ngai, Dieu Tri (for Quy Nhon), Nha Trang, Thap Cham, Muong Man (for Mui Ne) and Saigon. There are also trains from Hanoi to Halong & Haiphong (for HalongBay) and Hanoi to Lao Cai (for Sapa). Most of these trains provide air-conditioned cabin with sleeper beds and on-board catering.
